What I’ve noticed about Ainsley, her 7-year-old self, is that she’s a leader, teacher, nurturer, caretaker. She’s a born mother. Â (She takes after me.)
Zack wouldn’t take swim lessons alone (though he’s scarily unafraid of the water), so Ainsley basically taught him.
She also just LOVES to take care of her cousins. She’s the oldest on my side and she loves to boss, teach, guide. lead and snuggle the younger ones.

WE DID IT! Ainsley and I ran a 5K.
Our time was 47 minutes.
She WON 2nd place. (Only 2 children ran the 5K instead of the kids’ mile.)
Run – walk – run – walk – run – walk.
Come on Ains, we can do this, let’s run to that cone and then we’ll walk a little
It cost me two pairs of shoes in bribery around the 2.5 mile mark – a good running shoe and a Croc’s slipons knockoff.
Daddy ran a 1/2 marathon.

Everyone needs a little adventure. A little adrenaline rush increases your life span and happiness.
This was my grandmother, Viola’s, 86th Birthday Party – in the mountains with yummy food (leftover wedding cake) and a zip line.
Zack rode tandum with Daddy.
These are two of my first cousins, Dawn and Lauren. Ladies (bravest) first.
Every girl needs to get into a little mischief. Ainsley started pegging the zipliners with snowballs. LOL.
