Barbie hijacked “Feminism” and used a poor defenseless little girl and Amy Poehler to do it.
Oh, well, she did kill The Bratz and I’ll be forever grateful. My kids do enjoy her laptop and the pink VW Bug and the singing High School Musical Dolls, so perhaps I should just surrender?
I’d have no complaints with Barbie if not for this . . .

This topic is something I feel strongly on too, since I have 2 little girls. Although I would prefer the girls to not watch commercial type shows, I allowed Dora only for the reason that I figured it better than be a princess waiting for some guy to rescue her to be important or Barbie that gives a warped sense of what body image should be.

Dora also teaches them Spanish and she’s one of the few cartoons/movies that stars a smart girl who is not predominantly sexual.
I’m a fan of Dora. My son likes Dora as much as my daughter did. Which is great.
