		<description>i have found over the last decade or so that i have become pretty intolerent of violence against women in TV and movies.  but i&#039;m sadly not surprised to hear that it is rising.  scared, but not surprised.</description>

For some reason, we&#039;re (as a culture and as society) being titillated by violence against women mingled with sexuality. (I bet $100 that most of the depicted violence was in some way sexualized.) 

I&#039;m thinking it might be more effective to solve the problem at its core.
