I’m fascinated by that recommendation from the report on Sexualization of Girls. Is this – http://www.apa.org/pi/wpo/sexualization.html – the one you were referring to? I’m off to do some reading.

Being an atheist, I’m interested in pursuing the idea that exposure to feminist thought, and ideas from the body acceptance movement, could fulfill that role of preventing self-objectification and also of providing a feeling of self-worth.

(Also, I’m commenting to respond to your post, not to enter the contest! Though I suspect that’s obvious LOL)

Love this! My oldest daughter loves all the series type books and a nice wholesome one would be terrific.

BTW…I posted a link to the website from my Facebook…is that how you enter the contest? I’m so happy to have found your blog. After reading the So Sexy, So Soon book, I couldn’t find many people who were interested in discussing the issues girls face. So many people seem to just go along with the flow.
